[edit] To print in the Doucette 222 lab from the Command Line

  1. Right click anywhere on the desktop and select open terminal.
  2. Make sure you are in the same directory as the file you are printing (move directories by using the cd command).
  3. Type the following: $ printDoucette filename (where filename is the name of the file you wish to print).
  4. You will then be prompted for your password. Use your password from the CS Windows domain for printing.

[edit] To print in the Dundee lab in Ross Hall from the Command Line

  1. Open a SSH connection to the server using Putty.
  2. Make sure you are in the same directory as the file you are printing (move directories by using the cd command).
  3. type the following: $ printDundee filename (where filename is the name of the file you wish to print).
  4. You will then be prompted for your password. Use your password from the CS Windows domain for printing.

Graphical printing is also available on all Linux machines in the Doucette 222 lab, and can be accessed by going to File - Print within the application you wish to print from.

You can also print work if you are using SSH from home; you can either direct your print to the Doucette 222 or Dundee labs using the same format.
